The Eight AquaVision Opened this Morning
“In order to grow, we must identify the trends and understand them. That’s why AquaVision is so important for the whole industry,” said Managing Director Viggo Halseth, BU Skretting Northern Europe, Australia & Japan, welcoming the 320 delegates to the eight AquaVision at a reception Monday evening.
This morning CEO Wout Dekker opened the biannual aquaculture business conference, being followed by 18 top ranked speakers. Their audience comprises top leaders of the most important aquaculture companies wordwide.
Today's sessions concentrate on sustainability and perception building, both crucial topics for the future of aquaculture. On Wednesday the conference will discuss innovation drivers.
For the AquaVision conference professors Frank Asche and Ragnar Tveterås have prepared a report on what make aquaculture species successful in the food marked. The report stresses especially the need for innovation. The report is distributed to the delegates as a part of their conference kit.
